Children especially enjoy the Prairie Education Lab and the One Keeper's Place, where interactive activities are offered. A museum store is located on the premises.

The Yesteryear Museum is run completely by volunteers and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm year-round. Two of the museum buildings house a large collection of historic artifacts, such as farm equipment, household items, old post office items and more. Other attractions include an antique tractor, steam engines, printing equipment and horse transportation gear. A popular stop is the restored one-room schoolhouse.
